With the brickwork of the hall sides completed, except for the gable end, work commences on the pitched roof. |

. Wood was delivered for the roof construction and lifted by small crane into position. |
A much larger crane came on site to lift the preformed joists. |

Carpenters worked long hours cutting and forming the beams. The velox window openings can be seen. |
From inside the hall the intricate web of beams appears. |
