3 Site Preparation |
After the demolition rubble had been removed, ground workers with new earth moving equipment arrived to begin the task of preparing the site for the foundations of the new hall. |

A deep trench was dug along the western boundary and across the rear of the site. This will contain the new gas supply to the hall. |
Surplus soil from the levelling process was heaped at the rear of the site. |

Old asbestos rubble was sealed and buried under the hall footprint as specified by the Environmental Agency. |
A temporary roof to prevent water seepage was built over the exposed undercroft meeting room. |
