7 Rear Lower Floor

When excavation for the lower ground floor was completed, blockwork walls, slab floor and facing bricks could be put in place.

A huge silo full of mortar was delivered and installed. The bricklaying team could now start work.

The hole at the rear of the site takes shape as the lower floor rooms and blockwork shows the outline of the rooms.

The floor slab and damp proofing have been installed. Some outer bricks are laid and position of windows, doorways and outside steps can be seen.

Now it is possible to step inside and see the layout, and visualise how it will connect to our church undercroft rooms.
