22. Church Alterations |

Major alterations have also been made to the main church building. |

Our church was heated by radiant gas heaters on the walls above the arches. They were outdated and inefficient. Heads were hot and feet cold. |

After much discussion, hot water radiators were installed on nave, chancel and side aisle walls, served by a gas fired boiler in the undercroft.

Two sets of double doors were constructed in the church west wall to connect the nave to the new facilities. Decoration is not complete. |
|
The church roof needed repair at the high point of the front gable end. Battens were replaced, ridge tiles supported, and some new tiles put in place. |
