Bletchingly
Chelsfield Park notched an easy victory by 115 runs. Having been put into bat, the Park totalled 204 for 6 with Simon Kinley top scoring with a measured 76. Jem Carrett (35) Hilary Breeze (33) and Nick Stanbridge (23*) all contributed. Blechingly put up little resistance, with the exception of Tarbutt who was last out for 30, and were bowled out for 89. The wickets were shared around the bowlers with Stu Pinchin, Mike Lancaster Smith and Mark Phillips taking two apiece leaving Jem Carrett to close up with three quick wickets.
Kilndown and Lamberhurst
The Park recorded a comprehensive victory by eight wickets over Kilndown and Lamberhurst. Bowling plaudits go to Pete Burton, who tore (!) through the opposition with figures of 6 for 28 completing the innings for 84. The Park rattled off the necessary runs in 23 overs for the loss of Peter Black and Stu Pinchin, both in the twenties.
Rusthall
Rusthall set a competitive total of 195 for 5, with Wild top scoring with 68. Pick of the bowlers were Mike Weeks with 2 for 28 and Mile Walker with 2 for 29. Mike Lancaster Smith bowled with his customary control and swing, conceding only 13 runs from 9 overs. That the Park won comfortably by nine wickets and with six overs to spare was in no small measure to Simon Kinley. Opening with James Carrett he put on 95 before the latter was unluckily run out for 22 by a direct hit. Simon proceeded to register his first hundred, finishing with 101*. An unbroken second wicket stand of 102 saw the Park home, with Stu Pinchin contributing a stylish 61*.
